What is Christian Aid Week?
Every May, churches, and individuals across the UK, Republic of Ireland and the world host a huge range of fundraising events, making Christian Aid Week one of the biggest acts of Christian witness in the British Isles.
Who is Christian Aid?
Our work began in 1945, when we were founded by British and Irish churches to help refugees following the Second World War.
We are an international charity determined to fight poverty and respond to humanitarian emergencies, no matter how tough it gets.
United by hope, we work in partnership with a network of churches, organisations and people of all faiths and none. Together, we deliver vital programmes of work across the world, and raise awareness and funds to support lasting change.
By turning our hope into action, we're helping to build a fairer, more peaceful world.

Our amazing supporters walk, jog, dance, praise, bake, make, sing, quiz and much more. Let your passions power positive actions in the fight against poverty and injustice.
With the generous backing of churches and individuals, we’ve been able to offer support to communities in crisis. Over eight decades, we’ve harnessed something formidable; the unstoppable power of hope. And right now, we need it more than ever!
How can I get involved with Christian Aid Week?
Christian Aid Week enables churches, groups and individuals connect with their wider communities, coming together to give, act and pray.
A wide range of tools are available to support your fundraising and demonstrate the impact we can have when we come together to support our Global neighbours.
