Calstock's annual Garden Party was a huge success

The Calstock Christian Aid group in Cornwall celebrated Christian Aid Week with their annual garden party, which has been running for 40 years.

Highlights of the event included a plant sale, wonderful cakes and live entertainment - not to mention the auction of a painting by Joan Moncrieffe. It was a resounding success and raised much needed funds towards our fight for climate justice in Zimbabwe.

The Greenhills church group in Scotland raised over £600 with their windfarm walk

Led by Stewart Smith, a local Christian Aid representative and volunteer speaker, a group of walkers from Greenhills Church completed the 8-mile Lochgoin Circuit within the huge Whitelee Windfarm to raise money this Christian Aid Week.

They've already surpassed their fundraising goal for their windfarm walk, raising well over £600.

Inspired by Jessica’s story, Stewart's JustGiving pages reflect that ‘Lochgoin is full of life-giving water. The wind turbines harness the wind for a renewable power supply.

By our walk we will share our good fortune in an initiative which brings hope to [mums like Jessica]’
