1. Psalm 147:3 - 'He heals the brokenhearted, and binds up their wounds.'
2. Matthew 5:4 - 'Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.'
3. Isaiah 41:10 - 'Do not fear, for I am with you, do not be afraid, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my victorious right hand.'
4. Revelation 21:4 - 'He will wipe every tear from their eyes. Death will be no more; mourning and crying and pain will be no more, for the first things have passed away.'
5. Psalm 34:18 - 'The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves the crushed in spirit.'
6. Jeremiah 31:13 - 'Then shall the young women rejoice in the dance, and the young men and the old shall be merry. I will turn their mourning into joy, I will comfort them, and give them gladness for sorrow.'
7. John 14:27 - 'Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not let them be afraid.'

A prayer for healing and rest
Loving God,
You sent Your Son who bore our sins and took upon Himself the weight of our sorrows.
Forgive us when we seek comfort in things that cannot truly heal our pain.
Help us to find rest in Your embrace, where our weary hearts can be soothed,
and where Your grace lifts the burdens that feel too heavy to carry alone.
Merciful Savior,
You taught us that Your yoke is easy and Your burden is light.
Grant us the strength to lay down our grief at Your feet,
and fill our spirits with the peace that only You can give.
May we trust in Your promise of healing and allow Your love to restore our souls.
Spirit of Life,
Breathe into us the assurance of Your presence,
