Maggie Swinson
Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees
Maggie Swinson qualified as a chartered accountant after taking a music degree in Liverpool. She worked as a general practitioner, with a tax specialism, in a local partnership until she established her own practice in 2009.
She now works as company secretary of a social enterprise delivering healthcare contracts where her focus is on corporate governance.
Maggie has a wide range of experience gained over the last 30 years in the structures of the Church of England, as moderator of Churches Together in Britain and Ireland (CTBI) and now through the worldwide Anglican church where she is currently vice chair of the Anglican Consultative Council.
She has also served as a non-executive director in two different NHS trusts and is currently a governor of Liverpool Hope University.
Maggie sings in the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Choir. In her spare time, she enjoys playing chamber music and gardening.
