Want to put your faith into action and make real political change for climate justice this year?

Then the Climate Justice Constituency Campaigner programme is just for you!

What is it?

The Constituency Campaigner scheme is a 1-year programme where you’ll learn all the skills you need to build power with your local church and lobby your MP for action on climate justice.

This scheme isn't about sending the occasional letter or email – you will be focusing on building deeper connections locally and then use your collective power to persuade your MP that climate justice is a key issue. With a general election on the horizon, the time is now to ensure that climate justice is at the top of your MPs agenda.

What will I do?

Between March – April you’ll take part in five campaign training webinars which will range from community organizing to MP lobbying After the workshops, you’ll create your own action plan and start building those all-important local connections. As a cohort, we’ll meet regularly throughout the year, and you’ll have the opportunity to share experiences and hear directly from campaign experts.

This is a great opportunity to increase your confidence, to put faith in action and to develop your agency and leadership. So, what are you waiting for? Sign up now!

Helen Hughes reflects on why it's important to speak to your local politician.

We can do so much as individuals, but there are people in government who have the power to change laws that will make a real difference to the environment, and I think those of us who believe passionately about change have to be speaking to those who have the power to change things at a structural level.

How do I get involved?

It’s very simple, if you’d like to sign up for the scheme, then you’ll need to complete our short online application form. Whether you have some experience lobbying your MP or you’re just getting started, we want to hear from you.

You’ll then be invited to an informal interview at the end of February so we can learn more about you.

You can fill the application form here.
