Know that God is there.

Something to read

More majestic than the thunders of mighty waters, more majestic than the waves of the sea, majestic on high is the LORD!

- Psalm 93:4.

Something to think about

Overlooking Lake Nakuru in Kenya is a hilltop road, from which there's a beautiful view of the vastness of the lake. At this viewpoint, the reflection of the clouds upon the water reveal the majesty of God, like the hem of his garment spread over it.

A less clear view can be seen above Lake Windermere in the UK, when the grey clouds blanket the waters. That majesty and beauty of God may not always be seen, but it doesn't mean it's not there. We've become accustomed to letting the clouds cover his majesty, instead of revealing it.

Know that God is there and trust in his goodness and mercy, for his decrees are very sure.

Something to do

Take the time to see God’s majesty in the small things of a flower or an insect. In a snowflake or the rain.

Take the time to be still and know that he is God. When the clouds of life come, believe and trust in him.

Something to pray

Creator God, so often we let life, work, business, family, church or anything and everything else, crowd you out until something goes ‘wrong’ with any of these things. Let us know and see your majesty. When you seem distant from us, let your holy spirit fill us and remind us that you experience suffering with us. To know that we are never alone and that you, who are all powerful, are willing to share your strength and love to ensure that we are made whole again.
