How many killed is too many?
Timeline of actions
- In October 2023, we stood in silent vigil outside the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office, remembering all those killed, injured and held hostage. We bore witness to their stories and called for a ceasefire.
- Alongside CAFOD, Oxfam, Save the Children and Action Against Hunger we presented over 300,000 signatures to the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), demanding a ceasefire.
- We also gathered 28 leaders of churches and Christian organisations to sign a statement calling for a ceasefire, the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages and unfettered humanitarian access.
- Just before Christmas, working with fellow humanitarian and development organisations we projected messages on to the Houses of Parliament asking ‘How many killed is too many?’
- In January 2024, we placed a letter in the Times calling out the UK's complicity in the slaughter of innocent civilians.
- And in March 2024, we joined Oxfam and others to organise a lobby day in the UK Parliament - constituents like you lobbied almost 50 MPs
