David Nevell from Buxton is aiming to walk 1 million steps on two continents between January and July 2022 to turn hunger into hope.

Over 132 days, or 7,575 steps per day, David is travelling by train, ship and bus in Europe, the Caribbean, USA and Canada to help exceed this milestone and raise money for Christian Aid.

In 2021, David was inspired to take part in Christian Aid's 300,000 steps in May Challenge for Christian Aid Week. David enjoyed his walks throughout Derbyshire so much he has set himself a more ambitious challenge for 2022.

Between January and March, David started his challenge by visiting the Caribbean, New York, Lisbon and Tenerife. During these travels, he achieved well over half his target, recording over 651,000 steps, around 229 miles over 56 days.
