'We strongly oppose all forms of racism.'

'The horrific murder of children in Southport is utterly abhorrent. Christian Aid stands in prayer with their families and the communities that are hurting.

'Those motivated by hate will always be countered by the many more driven by compassion and love. We have seen this in the images of people coming together to denounce the violence, support their local areas and rebuild.

- Osai Ojigho, Director of Policy and Public Campaigns, Christian Aid
